| Analysis of data from the 2005 Prevalence of Mentoring Survey is complete and results are available on MPM’s website. Responses to the 2005 survey were provided by representatives of 155 mentoring programs at 121 organizations, an increase over the past year’s survey participation. In addition to ongoing tracking of mentor program participation and practices, new questions introduced in this year’s survey provide information about critical issues related to program operation. For the first time, Minnesota mentoring programs were asked to estimate their capacity to serve more youth, provide waiting list figures for mentors and mentees, report on hours volunteered by mentors, and provide information on training and support offered to mentees and their parents/caregivers, as well as to mentors.

The next Prevalence of Mentoring Survey, collecting data for program year 2006, will be launched in mid-September. To ensure that your mentoring program is included in the survey, please contact VP of Strategic Services, Polly Roach, or at (612) 370-9119.
