ABC Family to Family Mentoring Program

The ABC Mentoring Program deals with family issues, parenting, building bridges for the individuals (single parents, or split families, families of all kinds)we do not want to limit the definition. It is about parents getting together and helping each other through whatever circumstance they might be dealing with and allowing the program to offer resources that are in the community they were unaware of.

 Circle of Friends
Circle of Friends provides opportunities for special needs teens to develop social skills and friendships with the help of teens and adult mentors. Our goal is to erase the invisible barriers that hold back special needs teens from having fun relationships with their peers.

Foster Grandparent Program - St. Cloud
The Foster Grandparent Program provides opportunities for persons over 60 and older to make valuable contributions to their communities by establishing meaningful, supportive relationships with special needs children. The Foster Grandparent and child enjoy one another and learn together in positive environment.

Our program offers a wide variety of settings including classrooms, early education programs, hospitals, residential treatment facilities and various social service agencies. The level of physical activity that is required varies, depending on the setting. The only special skills required to be a Foster Grandparent are life experiences, which are invaluable. Foster Grandparents receive pre-service orientation and monthly training, an annual physical examination, supplemental insurance, a small stipend for those who qualify, mileage reimbursement and a variety of time off benefits. Perhaps the best benefit of all is the joy of making a difference in the lives of children who are in need of additional love, wisdom and support.
